Our mission is to provide information to residents and prospective residents of retirement villages in the state of Victoria, Australia.

We, the RRVV are an incorporated association of residents established to speak for all members. That is the Volunteer Committee of eight work to represent members.
Residents are often uninformed of their rights and entitlements. They have to deal with often-untrained site managers, owners whose primary interest is how to extract a maximum profit from you and to use a contract refined over many years and produced by a solicitor who seeks to facilitate the owners’ interests by that contract. To offset the effect of this imbalance of information the RRVV aims to:-
To inform and educate residents by means of a quarterly newsletter and by visiting villages to make presentations. We also plan to run an annual Open Forum
- To lobby Consumer Affairs Victoria at the Department of Justice on your behalf
- To lobby state politicians including the State Minister for Justice?
- To endeavour to persuade the Owners thru their lobbying and marketing organization to give their customers, their residents, their fair and full entitlements.
- To be most effective we have to get the facts, and publicize them as above.
The more members we have the greater our authority, so we, the committee, and you the member need to encourage others to join with us and become members. The annual subscription is currently $10, that is 83 cents a month.
